AtroPIM — free and open-source PIM system of new generation

Product Information Management System (PIM) enables to collect, unify, enrich and publish different kinds of the product information.

Introduction

AtroCore UG has developed a new PIM software especially for brands, wholesalers and retailers. The solution is free, modern and highly configurable. AtroPIM is equipped with extensive functions for managing product information and can be easily extended with free and paid modules.

AtroPIM helps everyone who is involved in the manufacturing, distributing and sale of products, to automate the associated business processes, to improve the customer experience and to increase their own turnover and sales. With the introduction of AtroPIM, greater flexibility in structuring product data is achieved.

Background

Development of AtroPIM started in 2017. A lot of code was written since then. The main reasons for developing of the new software was a lack of classic Open Source PIM System on the market. The existing PIM systems were not really created for product information management — Akeneo was a pure e-commerce PIM, Pimcore is a MDM, PIM, DAM and E-Commerce solution as all-in-one.

What makes it different?

Thanks to the configurable entities (e.g. category, product, attribute, etc.) and entity relations, you can adapt the system to your own needs very quickly without having to write a single line of code. Using a PIM, product information can be collected, enriched, qualitatively improved, translated and distributed more quickly. AtroPIM becomes a central repository for all your product information. Thus, if necessary, they can be adapted much faster to current trends and market requirements. A higher quality of your product data will lead to a potential buyer finding a suitable product in your online shop or via any other channel better and faster.

AtroPIM is a free and open-source PIM software, which thanks to a REST API can be integrated into any third-party system. A fully automatic data exchange can be ensured either via API connectors or via import / export profiles. AtroPIM can be used together with such popular shop systems as Magento 2, Shopware 6, OXID 6 and a few others.

Code

Backend of AtroPIM is written with PHP, some Zend Framework and Symfony components were used. Frontend is written completely with backbone.js.
